1 pound ground beef
4 slices turkey bacon
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped turkey bacon, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to combine.
Slowly add beef broth to the skillet, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve warm over mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
For added flavor, let the patties marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
Serve with green beans or a salad for a complete meal.
