A delicious and comforting casserole featuring tender chicken, savory French onion flavors, and hearty orzo pasta.

  • 2 cups cooked orzo
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked orzo, shredded chicken, French onion soup, half of the mozzarella cheese, turkey bacon, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed onions or mushrooms.
