  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Layer half of the sausage in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the batter over the sausage, then half of the maple syrup and half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden on top.
